Transponders
Transponders, also known as “User Fee”, are optional stickers that contain a radio-frequency identification chip that transmits information about a vehicle and border crossing User Fee payment status.
They renew annually and are vehicle specific, not company. The transponder is attached to the windshield of a commercial vehicle and should remain on the vehicle for the life of the transponder. If a vehicle is sold, the transponder is to remain with the vehicle and will require deactivation by the previous owner.
